Is the Power Washer Used to Clean the Windows?

Many customers have assumed that I must wash windows with the power washer because I do both power washing and window washing. However, the answer is no. If I were to clean the windows with the power washer, there would be a ton of streaks left in the windows. Not only this but when I’m power washing, I don’t use any soap that is specifically designed for windows. Therefore, the power washer wouldn’t get it as clean. With windows, I always use a foam squeegee and a rubber squeegee to clean them properly.

Does the Power Washer Clean the Sills of the Windows?

The answer to this question is that it depends. The first factor is the screens. If the customer takes out the screens beforehand, then it will be much easier to clean the sills with the power washer. If not, the power washer may break up the dirt but it wouldn’t really drain out of the window properly. Even if the screens are out, however, it still depends on the level of the windows. If the window is on the first story, it is easy to spray down with the power washer and the sills would get very clean from the power wash. On the second story, it is 50-50. The extension can be angled so that it is pretty much straight on with the sills, so they’ll get relatively clean but not completely. With the 3rd story and up, it is very difficult to clean them with the power washed because of the angle. The best way to guarantee that the window sills are done properly is to hire us to clean the windows and all of the sills.
